N.C. A&T’s CR2C2 Showcases Aggie Auto Auto Shuttle

The Transportation Center for Regional and Rural Connected Communities (CR2C2) at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University will showcase its Aggie Auto Autonomous Shuttle at the 2025 Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting Exhibit.

The exhibit offers attendees a firsthand look at North Carolina A&T’s advancements in autonomous vehicle research and development. The Aggie Auto Shuttle demonstrates the university’s work in automated driving systems, sensor integration, perception technologies, and real-time navigation software.

Highlighting Engineering and Innovation
At the TRB exhibit, visitors will be able to view the shuttle’s hardware platform, learn about current pilot operations, and explore how A&T researchers conduct testing, simulation, mapping, and performance evaluation. The display will also feature the shuttle’s live-tracking interface and supporting software tools.

Part of a Larger Research Portfolio
The Aggie Auto program is one component of CR2C2’s broader transportation research portfolio, which includes the North Carolina Rural Autonomous Vehicle Readiness Assessment Tool (Ar2tDashboard), corridor-level planning models, and ongoing autonomous systems field testing.

Expert Insights at the Booth
A&T researchers will be available throughout the exhibition to discuss current projects, data collection methods, system performance metrics, and future deployment plans.
